Stone Spotlight - Serpentine

I love serpentine, it is most commonly a green stone, it can be anywhere from a yellow green to black, but it also comes in reds and browns, usually mottled with the green.  I have a special place in my heart for green stones.

I picked up serpentine in both Ireland and Peru. In fact, the famous Connemara marble from northwestern Ireland is a combination of serpentine and quartz.

In Peru, the stone is sold as the stone from Machu Picchu, although upon further investigation, the mountain Machu Picchu is built on is actually predominantly quartz but serpentine is in the area.

Serpentine is said to help you feel more centered, therefore aiding in meditation and giving a general feeling of being more in control.  Light green Serpentine specifically helps with the above in regards to the past.

My biggest praise to all you parents..

With at home businesses... This ain't easy, not that I am saying I thought it would be but man. I sat down today, baby fed, dog walked, dog fed... Time to write some descriptions so I can post pieces on etsy.com...

ANNNDDD baby needs changing and wants to eat again, then doesn't want to be put down to sleep.
So I wrap her up in the moby wrap and think ok, here we go. NOPE! She doesn't want to sit still, so we get up and make a cake in the kitchen, she is perfectly content with that because we are moving and I am narrating everything I do.

So we have carrot cake for dessert, but no jewelry listed. Sigh...  Here I thought making the jewelry would be the hard part, I suppose once I have a toddler it will be.

The listings coming in the next week will be brief but they'll list the basics.
